The Weater App comes prebundled in your 2.0 upgrade. So for those of you that have made the jump to 2.0 you may have already used this app, but for those of you who haven’t here’s a break down, and a tip on how to make this app easier to get to!
When you click on the weather icon you get 5 choices. I will explain them in detail.
Local: When local is clicked on it gives you a simple one page break down. This break down includes the current temp including the daily high and low, wind chill, wind direction, wind speed, humidity, visibility, and sunrise time. Below this is a weekly forcast. It is an easy page to get all your local info courtesy of the Weather Channel.
US Cities: When this icon is clicked you are brought to a pge with a list of cities. You can scroll through a list of US cities to view that cities local weather identical in look and info to your own local page. This page however is not the easiest to navigate and I wish there were a couple of improvements. The page up / page down button does not work which would be handy. Also the letters on the number key for the remote should let you jump to that letter but they do not. Also there is no search option on this page. Pretty clumsy to navigate, but hey it’s a bundled app right?
World Cities: Same as US cities just a preloaded list for the world.
Search Cities: Exactly as titled. In my opinion why even go to the 2 previous icons with this one being so easy to use?
The Last Icon: This one is simple yet helpful. You simply click on this icon to change your settings from Celsius toFahrenheit.
Now for a useful tip. If you have not become familiar with the favorites icom make sure you do! Add your local weather to your favorites so you don’t have to go through so many pages to get to. I advise this with all your favorite apps.
