Just Add Power’s 2nd generation hardware will be available soon. The 2Gs release delay has
made everyone anxious but is well worth the wait. Packed full of new and mind blowing
features the 2G has created quite a buzz. It will be the standard in distributing HDMI
while retaining the same picture quality you are used to having with direct HDMI.
2G features above and beyond the 1st generation
• Improved firmware makes the picture quality nearly identical to direct HDMI (previewed
at the Infocomm show and the Arizona Control4 Dealer Tour)
• RS232 and IR are built into the transmitter and receiver

• Mount the transmitters and receivers on the wall, to tvs, mounts etc. with the new
optional mounting adapter
• Address IP addresses in the field
• Update firmware in the field
The advantages of the RS232 and IR functions require just 1 box in the rack using 1 IR
and 1 Serial from your automation system and will control every single tv/projector.
Within a few weeks the Control4 driver will be ready and the IR portion is not far
behind. This will be a secondary driver for the system. Additional control system drivers
are well on their way and will be available soon. In no way does this effect the current
drivers ability to control the video switch functions.
1 second video switch time between sources is not instant like what you are used to with
the 1st generation but will be improved in time with a firmware update. A black screen
will be seen for about 1 second when switching takes place.
I know, I know, so when can I get the 2G? The first 2Gs will be on our floor in a few
weeks but are all unfortunately reserved. The good news is around the middle of
September we will have product for everyone. Please click on the link below to reserve
your 2G. We want to make sure we are well stocked for what we are seeing as high
demand. Around early September you will be contacted with an exact ship date and
finalize your order with a deposit. No payment is required until that date.
