Want to be alerted if your HVAC stops working?

Two things occur with this time of year. Very cold weather and visiting family for the holidays. What if your HVAC breaks down while you are traveling? You don’t want your pipes to burst do you. Well you can setup an alert telling you if your room temperature has dropped below a level and tell you exactly what level it’s at. This alert can be sent via email or text. Then you can call your hvac company to go to your house and see what is wrong. If you have a control4 compatible lock and alarm you can make it real easy to let them in while you are away, but that’s another thread.

Control4′s iPad app receives an update – supports Colored Buttons, fixes bugs

If you’re a fan of the programmable custom buttons on your remotes but were bummed that you didn’t have the option to use them from your iPad, fret no more. ControlUI’s latest update to the iPad app adds in those loveable buttons that have the ability to be programmed to do most anything. Additionally, there are fixes for the iPod dock support, video sources now show in the play panel, and other “general user interface improvements and defect fixes.
