App Review: Organizer, The most useful, dynamic, wife friendly app to date.

So far the 4store has provided us with lots of novelties and a couple apps i may use on an occasional basis. That changed a couple of days ago with the Organizer app by i-Novi (Altran). This app allows users to organize their everyday shopping list in a simple manner, and save it to their Email. It also shows a calendar indicating the days when groceries are posted and gets a groceries list for each day.

The set up is very easy.

Open the App.

Press the shopping cart icon.

Now on the bottom left you will see an add icon. This icon lets you add your list title. You can run different list such as one for groceries, kids school supplies, car maintenance like oil changes “an idea i had”, and even a list that was made just for me “dates not to forget”. That’s right i put all the birthdays, appointments etc. right in this app.

After you have your list set up select a list from the left that has the name of the list you want to edit or add to. Then on the right hit the plus sign. This will allow you to add to the list and even put in a due date. Nice for organization for sure “and this is how they populate the calender” I’ll get to that.

Now you save your item and save your updated list and your ready to go!

from the list page there is also an email option. Press the mail icon on the bottom left and you can send your list to any email address you type in!

Now form the home page of this app you will see a calender icon. If you press this “which i will every morning now” You get a nice little calender with dates highlighted in red if there is a list associated with that date. If you press on the date you get a reminder pop up telling you what list the item is from and what the item is. I will never forget milk again! Or my mother birthday….. From this page you also get the option to email the calender list to an email of your choosing.

On the main screen is also a help icon. Every app should have this. Press this and there is good information on any questions you may have about the app!

This is so far the first app i guarantee i will use every morning. Gone are the days of my forgetfulness. You may say well you can put all this on your phone or pc? True…… but the first thing i do when i wake up on the way to the shower is go to my touchscreen and queue up some tunes. So i can check any alerts right there as i wait for the shower temp to get just right!

I have been told that many feature improvements are on the way. Here are the ones i would really like to see.

Ability to store different email addresses in memory and associate each with particular list.

Ability to push directly from calender to specific email. This would be awesome! Imagine you know you need a scheduled pool cleaning or HVAC maintenance done. Simply add the date “two weeks ahead of time” and have it email your service provider a request for scheduling!

Gmail linking?????? possibly????? please?????

Larger keyboard for the 7″ touchscreen

Guys get this app. You will use it. You will love it. You will thank me later….. when you almost forgot the milk. And thank Julie Jacobson from CePro for requesting this app on her 4store wish list!

It’s a Touchscreen no wait it’s a Nostalgic Clock

Ok so it’s a clock. But not just any clock. This nostalgic blast from the 70’s reminds me of days before all we currently hold dear in electronics existed. It is one of the most basic apps out there, but it works an We like it!

Saying it is basic is an understatement though. Coming soon this cool clock will have a built in customizable sleep timer and wake up scene integration. That will be nice for sure. The standard screen saver clock is so hard to read at 3:00 am! It will be interesting to see what other integrated feature App author Kevin Luther can come up with! Programmable kids room off timer? It’s time for Warehouse13 audio announcement? Who know what he may add into the paid for version, but believe me it will be good.
