4Store App Review #3: First Aid

This is a very useful app for those that may find themselves in an emergency situation.

When You first click on this icon it gives you a first aid information screen. This screen gives you information on what first aid is, when to call 911 or ems, some basic instructions on fiest aid in general, and the definition of infant, child, and adult. Oh did I mention it reminds you of the ABC’s? Airway, Breathing, Circulation

On this info page is a continue button. When pressing this you get plenty of choices for first aid including bleeding, choking, frostbite, and heartattack.

Selecting you getto chose whether it is an infant, child, or adult. After you have selected this it gives you specific instructions on how to assess and act on the situation.

In my opinion this is one of the most useful apps yet, especially if there are children in the household.

Be sure to download this app as it is free, and i never thought I’d say this, but this app could save a life. Please note, this information should not be used in place of advice or treatment from a professional doctor. If there is a real emergency dial 911 or the appropriate number in your area.

4Store App Review #1: Weather App

The Weater App comes prebundled in your 2.0 upgrade. So for those of you that have made the jump to 2.0 you may have already used this app, but for those of you who haven’t here’s a break down, and a tip on how to make this app easier to get to!

When you click on the weather icon you get 5 choices. I will explain them in detail.

Local: When local is clicked on it gives you a simple one page break down. This break down includes the current temp including the daily high and low, wind chill, wind direction, wind speed, humidity, visibility, and sunrise time. Below this is a weekly forcast. It is an easy page to get all your local info courtesy of the Weather Channel.

US Cities: When this icon is clicked you are brought to a pge with a list of cities. You can scroll through a list of US cities to view that cities local weather identical in look and info to your own local page. This page however is not the easiest to navigate and I wish there were a couple of improvements. The page up / page down button does not work which would be handy. Also the letters on the number key for the remote should let you jump to that letter but they do not. Also there is no search option on this page. Pretty clumsy to navigate, but hey it’s a bundled app right?

World Cities: Same as US cities just a preloaded list for the world.

Search Cities: Exactly as titled. In my opinion why even go to the 2 previous icons with this one being so easy to use?

The Last Icon: This one is simple yet helpful. You simply click on this icon to change your settings from Celsius toFahrenheit.

Now for a useful tip. If you have not become familiar with the favorites icom make sure you do! Add your local weather to your favorites so you don’t have to go through so many pages to get to. I advise this with all your favorite apps.
